How Long Does It Take to Diamond or Emerald
Every Amagram, the
monthly magazine that is published by Amway, contains pin level recognitions
from silver up to Diamond and above. In most cases, the date these
distributors started their Amway business is also included. So, being a
glutton for punishment, I went through the Amagrams and built a database
of emeralds and above which contains the date they started
their business, and where they lived.
Since I am using the date the pin level was published in the Amagram and not the actual date they finished the six months of qualification, the number of years may be off by six months to a year.
Some of the stories did not contain the date the distributor started their Amway business. All of these distributors are counted in the "Unknown" category. The first table is for diamonds, the second table is for emeralds.
This table should be considered as providing approximate numbers. Although I have strived for accuracy, it is the effort of one individual, so the possibility of errors does exist. Amway Corporation is the only entity who can give you accurate counts. Unfortunately, they have chosen not to release this information.

The average time to "Go Diamond" is obviously inaccurate because of the unknown times for some of the distributors. They are also rounded to the nearest year.
