New Emeralds and Diamonds -- by State

This table is a count of new emeralds and diamonds, by state, from Jan 1992 thru Mar 1998. There is no way to tell the actual number of diamonds and emeralds who re-qualify year after year.

This table should be considered as providing approximate numbers. Although I have strived for accuracy, it is the effort of one individual, so the possibility of errors does exist. Amway Corporation is the only entity who can give you accurate counts. Unfortunately, they have chosen not to release this information.

After 30 years in business and breaking over 200 new diamonds in the last 5+ years in the U.S. diamond club only has "hundreds of diamonds" (remember that Family matters message sent by DeVos?).

After 30 years in business and breaking over 730 new emeralds in the last 5+ years, the Achievers International trip in 1996 could still be held on a cruise ship with slightly over a 1000 cabins.

This, more than anything else should tell you how great "The Business" is. Achieving these higher pin levels is certainly a major accomplishment. Only a very tiny fraction of all Amway distributors ever make it to these levels. Now consider how difficult it must be to requalify at the higher pins. If it was easy, wouldn't there be thousands at diamond club in Hawaii? Wouldn't they need several cruise ships to handle all those emeralds?
