There is one point we want to make clear about CAN (Cult Awareness Network).
In order to inform our readers we put here the AFF (American Family Foundation)'s notice published in its Website.

Re: Cult Awareness Network

To Whom it may concern :

On October 23, 1996 the law firm which has represented the Church of Scientology for years purchased the logo and license agreement of the Cult Awareness Network (CAN).

Accordingly, any publications or communications using the CAN name or logo after October 23rd (1996) should not be regarded as emanating from or having the approval of the Cult Awareness Network personnel or officers who were associated with CAN before 23 October.

That problem will be addressed, when and if it arises, by aggrieved consumers, by the Cult Awareness Network's board of directors (The Cult Awareness Network, Inc. still exists as a California corporation, as near as the record shows.), or perhaps by state or federal authorities, but not in this bankruptcy proceeding. We do not foreclose the possibility of future legal action on this topic..."
